“On the Corner, On the Square” since 1917
Fosnot-Wilson Building
13 East Market Street, Lewistown, PA 17044

The Fosnot-Wilson Building was built in 1917 on the northeast corner of Monument Square, at 13 East Market Street. It’s a landmark nearly everyone in the community knows, and it’s almost impossible to drive around the Square without noticing it and whoever calls it home.
For 45 years it was Wilson’s Gifts and Jewelry, whose slogan “On the Corner, On the Square” became a local classic. In 2026 the first floor was restored, uncovering original leaded glass and oak woodwork, and in early 2027 it becomes the new home of The Square Cafe & Bakery.
