Finishing Touches at 13 East Market Street
New windows, ceilings, lighting and floors are in at 13 East Market Street, and contractors are lined up for the new building next door.

The last couple of weeks have been incredibly exciting as we’ve watched the final details come together at 13 East Market Street. The extensive remodel has completely transformed this building inside and out, and you can finally get a true sense of how special this space will be for The Square Cafe.
Milestones at 13 East Market Street
Our construction crew has been hard at work checking off major milestones to bring this historic interior across the finish line:
- Windows with a View: The highly anticipated new windows have been installed, beautifully opening up the view to our historic square.
- Ceilings & Lighting: All ceiling and lighting installations are complete. A major highlight is the new accent lighting highlighting the historic leaded glass—it makes an incredible visual impact at night.
- New Flooring: The new floors are officially in, seamlessly tying the entire dining space together.
- Connecting the Spaces: We have opened up the doorways that will eventually seamlessly connect to the new kitchen building and outdoor dining patio next door.
- Trim & Details: The team is currently completing the final finishing touches on all the interior trim.
With all this interior work wrapping up, the vision for The Square Cafe is finally becoming a reality.
Moving Forward Next Door
With 13 East Market Street nearing completion, momentum is picking up right next door at 15 East Market Street.
We have officially selected our contractors for the upcoming excavation and concrete work. Securing these partners is a crucial step, as it allows our construction crew the time and runway to shift their full focus toward the ground-up construction of the new kitchen building and the outdoor dining area. We can’t wait to share more as we break ground!
