Bringing 13 East Market Street to Life
Oak woodwork, a new ceiling and lighting, and cleaned leaded glass are restoring the historic charm of the future Square Cafe dining room.
The remodel and restoration work inside 13 East Market Street is really starting to take shape! Our construction crew has been hard at work applying the finishing touches to the interior, and the transformation is already incredible.
Current Progress
Over the past week, the team has focused on breathing life back into the building’s historic charm while updating it for modern use. Recent work includes:
- Woodwork & Walls: Putting the final touches on the classic oak woodwork and wrapping up the interior painting.
- Ceilings & Lighting: Installing a brand-new ceiling and updated lighting fixtures to brighten up the space.
- Restoration Details: Making necessary flooring repairs and carefully cleaning the beautiful leaded glass.
This new food service and dining area is going to be something incredibly special when it is finished.
What to Expect in the Next Few Weeks
As we move through August, a few major milestones are on the horizon for this space:
- New Windows: The replacement windows are scheduled to arrive soon. Once installed, they will perfectly frame the new view of our historic square.
- New Flooring: The installation of the new floor will be the final major step, allowing our crew to complete the remaining interior details.
Looking Ahead
Once the final finishing touches are completed at 13 East Market Street, our construction team will shift their full focus next door. We are eager to break ground on the new building that will house our state-of-the-art kitchen and the much-anticipated outdoor dining patio!
